Our outstanding safety performance is as a result of this commitment, the positive attitudes and contributions of our people, backed up with effective, efficient safety systems built over 25 years of operating high hazard infrastructure.
We are committed to our ZERO Harm Charter which describes and sets out our expectations and commitment to:
The high hazard sites that we operate in line with international regulations are:
We have also developed our own safety and process safety management system based on the latest and most relevant best practices, legal compliance and in-house learning.
At px Group we are conscious of the amount of waste we produce, and are actively looking at ways to minimise waste to landfill, by recycling, reusing and where practical, repurposing.
We are always on the lookout for new partnerships with schools, universities and other organisations that we share a common goal with – if you’d like to find out more about how we can work together, please get in touch with us via our contact page.
Children Challenging Industry – The highly successful Children Challenging Industry (CCI) programme is aimed at teachers and children in primary schools, and science-based manufacturing companies in the UK. The programme encourages the use of industrial contexts to enhance pupils’ experience of Working Scientifically and subject knowledge in the UK science curricula.
Investigations tackle real problems that are encountered within science-based industries, reflecting more closely the way science is carried out in ‘real life’. This approach improves children’s motivation and understanding.
We regularly sponsor local sports teams and youth organisations.
One of the teams we have recently sponsored is Banchory Community Football Club who supports football for all, including boys and girls teams, wheelchair football and football with the “forget me not” club. For more information go to: https://www.banchorycommunityfc.org/news
Charities px Group supports:
px Group also makes charitable donations through our health and safety recognition scheme. If a member of staff raises and resolves safety issues which could have been critical to their site, they receive £100 to donate to a charity of their choice.
We also hold the Platinum Payroll Giving Quality Mark, which is a Government-backed accreditation that rewards companies offering Payroll Giving with a Quality Mark to celebrate and promote their achievements through sponsored endeavors to raise money for the causes and the communities which matter to their people the most.
Every year we join together at Christmas, the time for giving, to raise funds for the Save the Children Christmas jumper day appeal and don a festive jumper making it a fun and jolly day for all. Double donation to the bah humbugs in the business!
Another festive fundraiser is the Shoebox appeal – Mission Christmas, supporting local children.
