px Group Midstream is responsible for processing approximately 30% of the UK’s daily gas needs.
Our Sites
The Midstream team operates two gas processing plants: St Fergus Gas Terminal (SFGT) and Teesside Gas Processing Plant (TGPP). Both are upper tier COMAH sites. The Midstream team is the designated duty-holder, responsible for ensuring compliance to COMAH Regulations and the wider suite of UK legislation applicable within this sector.
What we do
We operate, maintain and manage the sites we are responsible for. Their safe, reliable and efficient operation is essential in helping to keep the lights on in the UK.
We provide gas to industrial, residential and retail users including hospitals and other essential users, via the UK National Grid system.
How we do it
We adopt an owner-operator attitude. This means we operate our assets as if we were the owners, putting the client’s best interest at the heart of all we do. We work proactively with our clients to help them grow their business and to maximise their returns from existing portfolios. Client feedback is consistent in recognising the value our Midstream Team adds to their business.
Our view
We know how vital the supply of gas is to the continued full-functioning of the UK. The Coronavirus pandemic exemplified that, with changing energy demands both for industry, businesses and other consumers. Our close-alignment with our partners, clients and stakeholders has enabled us to continue to operate critical UK energy infrastructure with no disruption to supply.
