Mark Hobbs joined px Group as Managing Director, Offshore Oil & Gas in 2020 and is responsible for leading and developing px Group’s Offshore operations. Extending px Group’s owner’s mindset and value-based approach to offshore operations is the natural strategic complement to our existing businesses across the energy sector.
Prior to joining px Group, Mark spent 17 years at Apache Corporation in the UK and North America, where he was most recently VP for North Sea Region Operations and Projects and was responsible for the strategic development for the Forties and Beryl oil fields. Mark played a key role in the redevelopment of the Forties field, and has over 25 years’ experience within the industry, having also worked for bp Chemicals, bp Exploration and British Gas.
Mark has a 1st Class Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Aston University and is also a Chartered Chemical Engineer. He is a Fellow with the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
Mark represents px Group at the Oil & Gas UK Advisory Council, Oil & Gas Authority and Step Change in Safety Leadership Team.
