px Group appoints new Chief Financial Officer

px Group, the leading infrastructure solutions business, can today announce the appointment of its new Chief Financial Officer, Sarah Hale.

Sarah Hale brings over 15 years’ worth of financial experience to px Group and will lead px Group’s finance team. Sarah will ultimately be responsible for the financial health of the business and its sites, across some of the UK’s largest industrial facilities, including the world renowned Saltend Chemicals Park, located in the Humber region at the heart of the UK’s Energy Estuary.

Sarah joins px Group from Able UK, the wind energy and marine decommissioning company, where she was Finance Director. Prior to that, Sarah held senior financial roles in other well-known northeast businesses – including Banks Group and Cameron’s Brewery.

Sarah started her career at EY where she spent 10 years in the audit team after graduating with a first-class honours degree in mathematics and statistics from Newcastle University

The senior addition builds upon px Group’s recent strong growth before and during the pandemic, and follows its acquisition in May earlier this year by Aksiom Services Group, a partnership between US-based Ara Partners and the Aksiom Group.

Geoff Holmes, CEO of px Group, says: “I’m very pleased to welcome Sarah to her new role as Chief Financial Officer at px Group. Sarah joins the team following an extensive search process and she brings a wealth of financial and leadership expertise to the company.”

“Sarah is already familiar with px Group from her time with EY, so it’s great to ‘welcome her back’ to the business as we continue our exciting growth journey with our new investors Ara Partners.”

Sarah Hale comments: “I am delighted to be joining px as Chief Financial Officer. I was first introduced to px Group in the mid-2000s as an auditor with EY. From the outset, I was impressed with the group’s focus on safety, its people and providing the very best service for its clients.”

“It was always clear to me that this would be a great business to be a part of. So I’m very proud to have been invited to join the board and have the opportunity to be a part of the team to take the business forward at an exciting time.”
