px and its people operated, maintained, traded and managed Teesside Power Station (TPS) on behalf of its owners, Teesside Power Limited, from its construction in 1992 up to the handover in March 2008 to new owners GDF Suez. TPS is a combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power station, capable of generating 1875MW onto the National Grid and providing up to 800 tonnes per hour of process steam to the neighbouring industrial complex. It is the largest gas powered station in Europe. px currently operates the 188MW Fellside CHP power station, which provides critical process steam to the adjacent Sellafield reprocessing facility, and the 50MW open cycle Viking plant on Teesside. px operates, maintains and manages Teesside Gas Processing Plant (TGPP) and its associated contracts on behalf of its owners. TGPP is a top tier COMAH site and has the capacity to process up to 800 million standard cubic feet of gas per day which is equivalent to 6% of the UK gas supply. px delivers full O&M services to Exelerate Energy's high pressure LNG redelivery terminal and associated infrastructure at Teesport. In addition to O&M services, px provided support from the early stages of the project and throughout construction, commissioning and testing. The project is designed to deliver regasified natural gas onto the National Transmission System from regasification vessels. px is employed as the O&M provider at Greenergy's biodiesel production facility in Immingham. The plant consists of two refining and biodiesel processing trains each capable of producing 200,000 te/yr of biodiesel using a variety of feedstocks. px supported the commissioning of both trains and now employs around 25 full time staff to operate and manage the facility. px has a long term O&M agreement for Greenergy's fuel storage terminal in Plymouth. The terminal is the first in the UK to be refurbished to the new Health and Safety standards following the Buncefield incident. In addition to taking on the existing operating personnel at the site px has supplied a full commissioning and development team to manage the interfaces between the construction sites and the operating terminal. px has been appointed as O&M provider for Graphite Resource's revolutionary waste processing facility in Gateshead. The plant utilises autoclave technology to treat up to 320,000 te/year of municipal waste. px is currently supporting the plant through commissioning and will employ around 50 people once it is fully operational.
